ROBERT W. CARPENTER

Attorney Carpenter has practiced law in Massachusetts since 1985 when he graduated from Saint Louis University School of Law and Saint Louis University School of Business and Administration where he earned a joint JD/MBA degree. Intending to study international law, prepared for by studying politics and public administration at Northeastern University in Boston as an undergraduate, Mr. Carpenter was asked to assist a family law professor with research and writing a family law treatise and became interested in family law as a practice area. Family law and immigration have always been Attorney Carpenter’s focus.

Located on historic Beacon Hill for many years, Attorney Carpenter represents a wide variety of clients all with individual and unique needs. Some families have children with IEP requirements that need unique parenting plans, other families have abusive spouses that require supervised visitation and sole custody. And, some families just need to not live together but want to do what is best for their children. Attorney Carpenter can help craft a parenting plan to maximize both parents’ time with the children. If an agreement is not possible, Attorney Carpenter is an experienced litigator in the Probate and Family Court and has tried all issues among them custody, abuse, removals, property valuation and property division. Attorney Carpenter’s love of family and children gives him a special insight into the needs of family life, and the joys and worry that comes with raising children. The proud father of two sons, now both accomplished graduate students, Attorney Carpenter spent their younger years participating in scouting, Church, music, and sporting activities.
